AOC Luvia e2237Fwh features an ultra-slim cabinet tapering to just 22mm thickness, with a beautiful “floating bezel” design and luxury crystal-clear frame that bring fresh fashion to the widescreen industry. The ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 20M:1 (DCR) allows the user to see darker areas of content in more depth. The “i-care” sensor system will adjust the screen brightness automatically based on ambient lighting, to reduce eyestrain and save power. Multiple input connections – Analogue RGB, DVI-D and HDMI – with built-in speakers, make e2237Fwh great for business and personal use.
The 2237Fwh resembles an all-in-one desktop, with wide black bezel and a clear plastic surround that also acts as the front portion of the stand. A single leg allows ten degrees of tilt – there are no other adjustments possible. If colour adjustment is your thing, however, the AOC is your new best friend. Apart from a selection of preset colour temperatures you can adjust each colour individually. However, if you delve into the unintuitive OSD, you may need breadcrumbs to find your way back to the defaults.
Fortunately, the default settings provide for decent image quality. Colour accuracy was adequate, and images were crisp and clear. Gradients show only minor banding, and while the default contrast settings blow out in brighter areas, shadows and darker gradations are well delineated. A 5ms response time is fine for business use, but probably won’t
suit gamers.
