World’s first dual LCD camera is new in the market and is there with a bang. The first of its kind, Samsung 2View ST550 comes with a 1.5 inch LCD screen at the front of the camera, and this is something that is pulling all buyers towards it. And interestingly you don’t need to switch any button and search for any menu option to use this screen. Just a slight tap on the screen and it automatically goes in the self portrait mode.
Samsung’s breakthrough technology makes it easier than ever to get a perfect shot with this revolutionary 12.2 megapixel camera with 4.6X optical zoom. You’ll find the wow factor in the world’s first Dual LCD display: tap the front of the 1.5” LCD display and the Self Portrait mode automatically comes on for a perfect shot on the first try. Flip the camera over and tap the giant 3.5” touch screen back LCD to display the sharpest images of any camera available today. Naturally a camera this smart is also rock-steady with Advanced Dual Image Stabilization for unparalleled image clarity.
What makes ST550/550 unique apart from the ones available in the current market is the 1.5″ front LCD. This new feature is definitely a bonus for those who love to take self-portraits. When you tap the front LCD, it turns on and automatically goes into Self-Portrait mode. Other than that, it allows you to switch to Children mode whereby fun animation will be shown to attract the kids’ attention, or to Self-Timer mode in which you can see the countdown timer instead of the normal light-blinking indicator. FYI, these two cameras differ in the size of touch screen back LCD only (3.5″ for ST550 and 3.0″ for ST500).

Genius’s G-Note 7000 tablet has an A4-sized active area. This is impressive as no other tablet costing less than £300 gives you as much room. It also includes some clever note-taking features.
Installing the G-Note is a frustrating task. We followed the instructions only to find that it didn’t work, and it took us several reboots and a lot of unplugging USB leads before it sprang into life. If you buy one, expect to take a little time to get it working. Its recessed USB connector is also a pain, and we found ourselves constantly having to reconnect the cable when it worked loose.
The G-Note takes five batteries: one in its pen, and four in the tablet. With batteries inside, the tablet can store notes when you’re away from your computer. We were sceptical about this, but we found that it actually works very well; you can scribble notes using the special pen, and a set of buttons with an LCD lets you store multiple pages.
