Hitachi’s CPX445 may be pretty expensive but it certainly delivers the goods.Take its interface options. It offers two D-sub input and output ports, which means you’ll never have to worry about disconnecting and reconnecting sources such as your PC. It offers DVI too for those after top quality from their PCs, plus component inputs for those interested in feeding the unit high-definition (HD) video. The projector also features four integrated speakers that when tested produced crisp and clear sound, especially considering their small 1.5” cones.
This Hitachi projector is one of a new breed of projectors. Traditionally most higher power projectors have had two things in common. They tend to weigh in over 10 lbs., and they offer interchangeable lenses. As a result they are often not suitable for frequent travel, and often cost too much as you are paying somewhat for the design and support of multiple lenses.Sophisticated information and electronics technologies, while already fundamental to virtually every aspect of modern life, will become even more critical in the future. With a wealth of accumulated technological expertise, Hitachi has the solutions to meet its customers needs.
With a unique optical engine and 230W UHB lamp, the CP-X445 series achieves a brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens. It will project large-screen images that are clear and easy to see, even in large rooms or in bright environments. Additionally, 4X wave sound speaker system (four built in 3W speakers), provides sufficient sound in classrooms without the need for additional external speakers. Furthermore, the CP-X445 series is equipped with a LAN control function, allowing users to control and efficiently operate a group of projectors on TCP/IP network. Lastly, the CP-X445 series features full connectivity with a DVI-D interface, and is compatible with the RGB Input 2 system, Video Input 3 system, and a wide variety of other input signals.

Moreover, this is a Business Presentation projector and because of that the vertical upward throw angle is higher. This is beneficial for boardroom meetings and presentations. For Home Theater use the better choice will be to ceiling mount it so that you can align the picture on the screen without causing any keystone error.

Hitachi CP-X260 is a LCD projector with three 0.63″ LCD panels in RED, GREEN and BLUE and native XGA resolution of 1024×768 pixels. The native aspect ratio is 4:3 while 16:9 is selectable. The Zoom Lens on the projector has focal length from 18.9mm to 22.6mm which shows this is a short throw lens. A 100″ diagonal screen with 4:3 aspect ratio and size of 60″x80″ can be filled from 10 feet. The lens aperture is also from 1.7 to 1.9 F-stops. A SLR (Single Lens Reflection) camera with this type of aperture can take nice close-up shots by blurring the background and keeping the foreground in tight focus. The Hitachi CP RX60 is a LCD Video projector that is not only ideal for use when needing a quick portability but for a fast set up as well. It has different degrees of brightness to fit the need of the user. With an eye towards bringing professional-quality projection to entry-level environments, the CP-RX60 model projector is an affordable and easy-to-use projector ideal for quick setup and portability. The Hitachi CP-RX60 is a stylish LCD projector that offers 1024 x 768 XGA resolution for a low price that is just over the £600 mark.
Even though the CP-RX60 is rated at 38dB in Normal mode (33db in Whisper mode), the noise level suggests that Hitachi has done something clever inside the casing to manage the heat and noise levels so successfully. The focus control is on a ring, while zoom and picture position are on the remote control, but this is a system that Hitachi has used for some years and it works very well. There’s no escaping the fact the 300:1 contrast ratio is far lower than DLP models, but it simply doesn’t matter. PowerPoint presentations and Word documents look great and photos are also realistic and enjoyable. We were very happy watching DVDs on the Hitachi, even though it was unable to replicate the extremes of dark and light.
The on-screen menu system includes a simple menu that lists basic image adjustment options (such as brightness, contrast, and sharpness) and an advanced menu with additional picture tweaking controls (such as gamma and color temperature). Though you get only three preset picture modes (normal, cinema, and dynamic), you can create and save four custom settings, too. The unit ships with a computer (VGA) cable; if you want to connect the CP-RX60 to other audio-video equipment, you’ll have to buy the necessary cables separately. Home-theater users will need to upgrade from the puny 1-watt speaker to a more powerful sound system.

Hitachi positions its Performa CP-RS55 as a dual-use projector, best applied to business situations but quite handy in the living room, as well. We might go a step further: in view of its compact size (11.2 by 8.0 by 3.2 inches)–not much larger than a cigar box–this 4.8-pound model is also well suited for mobile applications. Add to that a record-low price tag that occasionally dips below $800, and we might just call the CP-RS55 a basic, one-size-fits-all business projector.Inside the stylish but understated silver-gray case is an LCD imaging engine, part of the reason for the projector’s low price. Hitachi has upgraded this venerable technology with what it calls Progressive Scan Technology, which promises reduced flicker. Nevertheless, CNET Labs’ tests revealed the typical trademarks of LCD technology: superior color handling (particularly with blues, in this case), a significant screen-door-like grid effect on projected images, and a lower-than-average contrast ratio (only 192:1). Another traditional LCD drawback inherited by the Hitachi is the need for regular cleaning of the cooling fan’s air filter. In other words, this model is better for tabletop use than for ceiling installations with limited access.
With a brightness of 1,500 ANSI lumens but weighing only 4.84 pounds, the new Hitachi Performa CP-RS55 projector features the high-end performance required for use in corporate, as well as small business environments, and an intuitive user interface makes it ideal for home use. Additionally, the Performa CP-RS55 model features Progressive Scan Technology, which lets users enjoy realistically beautiful images with no flicker. Its Equalizing function (Gamma Correction and Color Balance) lets users make adjustments to achieve the desired picture quality, and three Picture Mode settings (Normal, Cinema and Dynamic) allows users to choose the best mode to match the source.
